How can intentional lesson planning ensure success for learners? In this in-person workshop for graduate teaching assistants and postdocs, we will explore the teaching strategies of Universal Design for Learning (UDL), specifically around lesson planning. UDL is a well-known, research-based framework that promotes effective strategies to craft effective learning goals, develop learning activities, and create inclusive learning environments. By the end of the session, participants will have a helpful toolkit of basic strategies to design lessons that resonate with and inspire learners.
