Thanksgiving Food Drive

n response to New York State’s efforts to address heightened food insecurity following SNAP benefits cuts, the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life, alongside the Binghamton University Food Pantry, The Center for Civic Engagement, and the Social Work Undergraduate Union, are collecting food and hygiene items. New in original packaging donations will be distributed to local K-12 schools, Binghamton University Food Pantry, CHOW, Windsor Human Development, Food Bank of the Southern Tier, and Catholic Charities.

Items can be dropped off in the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life (UUW208G) 9 am - 5 pm starting November 1st through November 20th. The non-perishables will help fill over 3,000 baskets given out every year. 

Thanksgiving Basket Items:

Stuffing & Gravy Mixes
Canned or Boxed White Potatoes
Canned or Boxed Sweet Potatoes
Canned Vegetables
Cranberry Sauce
Canned Fruit
Canned/Powdered Beverages
(milk, coffee, tea, hot chocolate)
Cake/Brownie Mix/Frosting
Pie Crust mix/Filling
Can Openers
(Please no glass containers)

*Items should not have expiration dates that have passed.
