The ability to create visually appealing maps with data is becoming more in demand among employers in many field-based sciences. This skills lab aims to introduce you to the basics of using and navigating ArcGIS Pro to import point data and maps, and to export maps that have appropriate labels and are easily readable.

Presenter Background: Dr. Joe Panzik is a faculty member in the First-year Research Immersion (FRI) program in Environmental Visualization. He has worked on projects spanning many disciplines including geophysics, geography, environmental science, archeology, and paleontology. The students in his lab utilize mapping in nearly every project and become familiar with it for authentic research experiences.
