Program Description: NDAs show up everywhere: in employment contracts, in job offers, and in the early days of starting a business. This interactive Skills Lab is where you learn to read NDAs, to catch the clause that follows you to your next job, and the one that could keep you from ever launching your own company. Presenter Background: Ehteshamul Haque (MA Economics '07) is an experienced technology lawyer with two degrees in Computer Science and deep knowledge of complex contracting. He negotiates and redlines these agreements for a living, on both sides of the table, and teaches Business Associations at American University Washington College of Law in DC, so he can tell you what a clause actually does rather than what it says. Skill(s) Students will Learn: Evaluating complex Non Disclosure Agreements to determine what is acceptable and what is not. Determining how an NDA can affect your long term professional career, even after departing a role.

If you anticipate a need for disability-related accommodations or auxiliary aids to attend or participate, please contact The Fleishman Center for Career and Professional Development at careers@binghamton.edu.
