Whether you're heading into a law firm, a financial institution, or a data-driven role, Excel is a very important skill. Even if you aren't data focused, becoming familiar with excel and how to navigate it will put you ahead in your future job or internship. This hands-on workshop, led by Peer Industry Mentors Cassandra and Rai along with Harpur Edge LSAT tutor Dylan, will take you from the basics to the functions that actually show up on the job.
In 1 focused hour, you'll learn:
Core formulas, cell referencing, and table formatting
IF, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, and SUMIFS — with real data
PivotTables and how to summarize large datasets in seconds
A intro to macros: how to automate tasks you currently do by hand
No prior Excel experience required! Bring your laptop with Excel installed! Excel on Web works too!
If you anticipate a need for disability-related accommodations or auxiliary aids to attend or participate, please contact The Fleishman Center for Career and Professional Development at careers@binghamton.edu. We ask that you provide us with at least 3-5 days of advance notice regarding your equal access needs.
