Thinking about what comes after graduation? Service corps programs are one of the most underrated ways to build real-world skills, grow your resume, and figure out your career path, all while making a direct impact in communities that need it.

Join us for a conversation with representatives from Rural Health Service Corps, Empire State Service Corps, and City Year to learn how a term of service can jumpstart your career, whether you're headed toward healthcare, education, public policy, nonprofit leadership, or beyond.

In this session, you'll learn:

*What day-to-day work actually looks like in each program, and what skills you'll walk away with (leadership, project management, communication, crisis response, and more)
*How service corps experience translates into competitive resume and interview material — including how alumni have leveraged their service into grad school admissions, job offers, and career pivots
*What each program looks for in applicants, and how to put together a strong application
*Benefits like living stipends, education awards (AmeriCorps), health coverage, and loan forbearance that make service financially viable after graduation
*How to network within these programs and use them as a bridge into careers in healthcare, education, government, and the nonprofit sector

Who should attend: Any student curious about service-based career paths, exploring gap-year or post-grad options, or looking to build hands-on experience before committing to a specific field — no prior service experience required.
