This program will cover essential topics such as budgeting after graduation, managing and repaying student loans, and approaching salary negotiations with confidence. It will also address common financial challenges students may experience during this transition, including navigating periods of job search, managing expenses without a steady income, and building a financial foundation in a new environment. The goal is to provide straightforward, actionable guidance that students can immediately apply to their own situations.
Students will also be introduced to campus and external resources that can support their financial journey beyond graduation. The session will include time for questions and discussion, creating space for students to engage with real-life scenarios and get clarity on concerns that matter most to them.
By the end of the session, students will leave with a stronger understanding of how to manage their finances, make informed decisions, and approach life after graduation with greater confidence and control.
Food will be provided at the event.
If you anticipate a need for disability-related accommodations or auxiliary aids to attend or participate, please contact The Fleishman Center for Career and Professional Development at careers@binghamton.edu. We ask that you provide at least 3–5 days of advance notice regarding your equal access needs.
