Interested in entrepreneurship and launching your own business? Join Leighton Blackwood ’21, CEO and founder of 2nd Heaven, who will show students how to develop a business model and turn abstract ideas into real action.

Leighton approached Binghamton University Dining Services (BUDS) during his sophomore year at the School of Management, with a vision to bring a bubble tea shop to the campus. He worked with the Koffman Incubator and Cornell Cooperative Extension to first refine his project into a temporary stand at a local farmers market before launching 2nd Heaven in the Marketplace — bringing the first student-founded cafe to Binghamton’s retail dining.
