Light, who has a background in bacterial physiology and biofilm development, will lead a brief lab exercise in bacterial growth. Attendees will learn how to measure optical density (OD) and culture turbidity, generate a calibration curve, perform dilutions and plate cells — skills often required to work in a microbiology laboratory. No prior lab experience is required!
Skills Lab: Measuring Bacterial Growth and Introductory Laboratory Skills
