Want to learn how to more effectively use and interact with AI systems? In this two-part sequence of workshops, students will learn both basic and advanced prompt engineering techniques for contemporary AI models like ChatGPT. Attendees will receive an overview of the mechanics behind artificial intelligence systems, learning how different prompt structures can lead to different outputs through hands-on exercises.

Led by Dr. Surinder Kahai, an award-winning associate professor of management information systems at the School of Management, this Skills Lab allows attendees to leave with skills that can apply to academic, professional and creative tasks. Kahai’s recent research focuses on the use of generative AI in education and business contexts.
