Ever wondered how life-saving medicines make it from idea to patient? Join us for a hands-on virtual workshop where you’ll step into the world of biotechnology.

Instead of just hearing about biotech, you’ll experience it. Working in teams, you’ll launch a mock startup and take on key industry roles—like scientist, CEO, or regulatory lead—as you race to bring a new therapy to market.

Hosted by LabCentral, this Skills Lab: What the Heck is Biotech?® invites students from all majors to explore one of today’s most exciting and fast-growing industries. No science background required—just bring your curiosity and creativity! You’ll gain insight into the many career paths within biotechnology (spoiler: it’s not just lab coats!) while strengthening your presentation, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.

Skills Lab: What the Heck is Biotech?®
