The Dean of Students Office will host an exclusive Threat Assessment and Management Training for members of the Binghamton University community. Save the date and join us May 24, 2022.
This training is free for attendees at Binghamton University. Lunch will also be provided during the session. Registration is required to attend — sign up early to reserve your spot!
Topics discussed will include:
- Sources, nature and prevelance of workplace and campus violence.
- Contemporary trends related to behavioral intervention and/or threat management.
- Dynamic and varied nature of violent behavior.
- Understanding guiding principles for threat assessment and management.
- Enhancing capacity for identification of threatening or concerning behavior.
- Key components of effective threat assessment and management approaches.
- Considerations for team composition, roles, leadership, policies and procedures.
- Considerations for information-gathering and information-sharing.
- Utilization of integrated case management strategies.
- Considerations for tracking and documenting cases.
- Consultation regarding issues and challenges unique to Binghamton University.
