Students are invited to come chat with Alumni Jacob Aurelio.

Jacob Aurelio is a physical therapist at UHS Vestal Outpatient Rehabilitation, where he has been practicing since June 2026. A Binghamton native, Jacob graduated from Chenango Valley High School in 2019 before earning an Associate’s degree in Health Studies from SUNY Broome in 2021, a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Binghamton University in 2023, and his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Binghamton University in 2026.

Jacob’s passion for physical therapy began at a young age after watching his late grandmother, who had polio, navigate the challenges associated with her condition. Her experience inspired him to pursue a career focused on helping others.

During PT school, Jacob’s capstone research focused on depression among older adults living in rural communities and the impact of limited healthcare access on their health outcomes. Outside of PT, Jacob grew up playing football and wrestling and enjoys working with a wide variety of patients as he continues to grow as a clinician.
