From 6pm to 7pm on October 27th, we are going to run a Turtle Racing Event with CP Andy. We will fence off an area in the Iroquois room and allow students to use lettuce to help motivate the tortoises to win the race. The event is open to everyone. We plan to do prizes; we just need approval! Along with the race, we will include an informational discussion on the turtle's cultural and religious significance. The turtle is one of five Cayuga people's clans and we will discuss the indigeneous origins of CIW's naming and building animals.
Food Provided (Although not for the guests of the event, lettuce will be provided for the turtles. )
