MLK Days of Service – Sarah Jane Johnson Memorial Church - Unloading items from church

In collaboration with the Q-Center and MRC, the Center for Civic Engagement is providing a day of service volunteer opportunity at the Sarah Jane Johnson Memorial Church in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.


Join us for a meaningful MLK Day of Service as we support the Sarah Jane Johnson Memorial Church during their relocation to a new shared location in Binghamton. Volunteers on this team will assist with unloading items from vehicles and carrying them into the Boulevard United Methodist Church, the new temporary space for the Sarah Jane Johnson Church congregation. This hands-on project is a great way to serve the local community and honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy of service. Pizza will be provided for all volunteers upon return to campus.

Please note: The project will take place from 11:15am–2:30pm. Transportation will be provided. The bus will depart from the Union at 10:30am and arrive at the church by 11:15am. At the conclusion of the project, the bus will return at 2:30pm to pick up volunteers and bring them back to campus by 2:45pm.
