Help us beta test this brand-new training in constructive dialogue, which applies concepts from cognitive behavioral therapy to interpersonal communication in an effort to improve how we communicate across social barriers. The training includes a mix of short, interactive online learning modules (called Perspectives, created by the Constructive Dialogue Institute) and two in-person workshops that were developed by the Civil Dialogue Project at Binghamton University.

We plan to make adjustments based on your feedback before we pilot the curriculum with ~600 first-year Binghamton students. You will receive an invitation to the Perspectives course via email after registering.

Please complete the introduction and first three lessons of Perspectives (~90-120 minutes total) before Workshop 1 on Tuesday, September 12th, 4-5 pm in APP 111. Following this workshop, Perspectives lessons 4-6 will become available. Lessons 4-6 should be completed prior to Workshop 2 on Wednesday, September 27th, 5-6 pm. You will automatically be registered for both Workshops 1 and 2 following the submission of this registration form.

Dinner is provided at both workshops.

If you will not be able to attend one of the workshops, if there are any technical difficulties with the online lessons, or if you have any questions, please contact Trevor Fornara (tfornar1@binghamton.edu or 607-777-4285).
