Binghamton students are invited to join The Andrew Goodman Foundation, a nonprofit organization that makes young voices and votes a powerful force in democracy, for Rise Up Weekend: We Organize, We Vote, We Lead on June 25 from 12-5 p.m.! Rise Up Weekend is going to be the event of the summer and will include inspiring plenaries, educational sessions, and hands-on training activities all about campus organizing and voter engagement.

Sessions will address topics such as the unfulfilled promise of the 26th Amendment, the state of student voting rights in 2021, the For the People Act and John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, collaborating across the political aisle, and the past, present, and future of the movements for racial justice and voting rights.
