Join alumna Liz Cottle ’19, a former business administration and psychology major at Binghamton, to learn about the fundamentals of international nonprofit management. You will also have the opportunity to practice building a compelling pitch to prospective donors. Cottle is a Senior Associate in the Executive Office at Aceli Africa, a nonprofit that offers incentives for making loans to high-impact agricultural businesses in East Africa. The organization focuses on expanding opportunities for women and youth and promoting sustainable environmental practices through stronger financing.
In her position, Cottle currently manages $95 million in funding, spearheads the fundraising process and actively participates in nonprofit strategy and governance. She also regularly communicates and negotiates with key stakeholders like the United States Agency for International Development, taking into account their interests and priorities.
