Are you ready to explore exciting career paths in art, design and social impact? The Fleishman Career Center, together with our co-sponsors, Harpur Edge, the College of Community and Public Affairs and the School of the Arts, are thrilled to invite you to our inaugural in-person Symposium: Exploring Careers in Art, Design and Social Impact on Wednesday, October 16, 2024. This event is open to students of all majors and class years, who are eager to build their networks, discover opportunities and sharpen their skills.
Here's what you can expect:
10 a.m. - 11 a.m.: Innovating for Impact Panel, Mandela Room Hear from industry leaders to see how art, design and social impact intersect to drive innovation and create change
11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.: Brunch/Networking, Old Union Hall Connect with alumni and fellow students over brunch
12:45 p.m. - 2 p.m.: Skills Labs, 133A and Mandela Room Dive into hands-on sessions where you can learn and practice skills relevant to your future career. Select from ONE of the topics noted below. You will have the option to make your selections in the registration form.

2:15 p.m. - 4 p.m.: Alumni Talks, (Mandela Room) Get inspired by brief talks from alumni who will share their career journeys. Move around the room to hear from multiple speakers and gain diverse insights
2:15 p.m. - 4 p.m.: Opportunities Fair, (Old Union Hall) Network with employers regarding potential job, internship and volunteer opportunities
4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.: Local Non-Profit and Government Focused Networking Event at the Binghamton University Downtown Center For students who have an interest or focus in local, non-profit or government industries — join local employers, alumni, faculty and staff for an evening of networking and meaningful connections at our Downtown Center campus!
