Graduate Success Workshops: Writing a Diversity Statement

Diversity statements are increasingly being requested or required for those seeking jobs in academia. The overall purpose of a diversity statement is to show that you are committed to contributing to the institution's goals surrounding diversity, equity, and inclusion. In this workshop you will learn the process of identifying your identities and positionality and the role DEI plays in your teaching, research, and service to the community. At the end of the workshop you will have a working draft to tailor when applying to academic jobs. Light refreshments will be served during the event.
