This program will review how to search for job and internship opportunities in the U.S and provide tips on managing that process, as well as helpful resources. Additionally, we will review the skills you must demonstrate to employers at events such as the Job and Internship Fair as well as the expectations of those employers. This program will help you build your confidence, create a positive first impression, bond with recruiters and employers, and most of all, make them remember you. We will review and practice strategies that can be used to enhance your networking at the Job and Internship Fair, including the 30-second commercial. We will discuss CPT including the application process and how you can utilize these options to gain internship experience in the U.S.
If you anticipate a need for disability-related accommodations or auxiliary aids to attend or participate, please contact Fleishman Center at careers@binghamton.edu We ask that you provide us with at least 3-5 days of advance notice regarding your equal access needs.
