Foliage & Fire Tower Hike with Outdoor Pursuits | Campus Recreation

Balsam Lake Mountain at 3723 feet stands taller than anything as far as the eye can see. The fragrance of balsam fir trees on this summit only serve to add to this high mountain experience. The autumn colors make for incredible photos from the fire tower on the summit.

Sturdy hiking boots or shoes are very important. Bring a small pack with lunch, snacks, and plenty of water (1 liter) for the day. Essential clothing for the weather is a must (raincoat and synthetic clothing for warmth). This is a challenging hike, but we leave no one behind!

Sign up in the Outdoor Pursuits office, EG-10 by Friday, October 10. $20 fee includes transportation and a guide.
