Foliage & Fire Tower Hike with Campus Recreation

As one of only two peaks over 4000' in the Catskills, this moderately strenuous hike to the summit of Hunter Mountain (elev. 4040') is beautiful. The emerging autumn colors make for incredible photos from the fire tower on the summit. Be prepared for rocky inclines and the downhill return to the van. Sturdy hiking boots or shoes are very important, as well as a rain coat and synthetic clothing for warmth; this hike is challenging. Bring extra money for a food stop on the return to Binghamton.
Sign up in person at the Outdoor Pursuits office (EG-10) by Friday, September 30. The $20 fee covers your guide, transportation, and all equipment you might need.
