Catskill Fire Tower Hike with Outdoor Pursuits | Campus Recreation

Ready to challenge yourself? Join us for a moderately strenuous hike to the summit of Hunter Mountain (elev. 4040') in the northeast Catskills. Our hard climb will be rewarded with many spectacular views. Even more incredible vistas await those who venture up the fire tower.

Sturdy hiking boots or shoes are very important. Bring along a small pack with a bomber lunch, great snacks and plenty of water (1 liter) for the day. Essential clothing for the weather is a must (rain coat and synthetic clothing for warmth). Bring extra money for a food stop on the return to Binghamton. This is a challenging hike, but we leave no one behind!

Sign up in the Outdoor Pursuits office, EG-10 by Friday, September 26. $20 fee covers transportation and a guide.
