Can we tackle climate change without addressing social justice? What role does technology have in preventing ecological destruction and solving inequality? What can we do as individuals to change any of these things or are the solutions up to the government and corporations?

Come together with your fellow students for discussion and debate on this year's Common Read: All We Can Save.

Students will work in small groups to develop an argument related to the debate questions. All participants can contribute ideas and are invited, but not required, to speak within their group. Students will get to select what topics interest them before each round and will have three chances to participate. No prior debate experience or topic knowledge is required!

Prizes will be awarded for the winning individuals as voted by judges and peers. Prizes will include $100, $50 and $25 Bookstore Credits awarded to six different winners. Food will also be provided including donuts, cider, meatballs, vegetarian eggrolls, and more!
