Dinner With Jesus

A weekly gathering to share a meal, build community, and discuss Christian scripture around current topics. This gathering is centered around progressive Protestant values which values looking at the historical context of the original text, justice, love, and is LGBTQIA affirming. All are welcome and questions are encouraged in the space.
This week we will discuss sport and spirituality in honor of Super Bowl Sunday and beginning of the Olympics. There can be a meditative quality to training in any sport, and there is beauty, challenge, and community. But as Christians, what happens when we make sport an idol or it's own religion and forget about the what God would call us to do. How do we find the balance? Dinner will be pizza and snacks.
