Join us in welcoming back award-winning artist and staff emeritus Paloma Vianey! Born and raised in the Mexican city of Ciudad Juárez on the US-Mexico border, Vianey's latest paintings focuses on reframing the narratives of Mexico's "dangerous cities" towards the significance of the city's communities. Experimenting with the concept of tension, Vianey stretches canvas and paints across knotted fabric, signifying the tension between people, location, and resilience.
