About Us
The aim of "Bitcoin & DeFi" is to educate students on how to use Bitcoin - and other blockchains' (especially other proof-of-work chains) - decentralized finance (DeFi) and leverage its opportunities. Two complementing intentions are, first, for students to learn more widely what Bitcoin is, how it works, how it is the greenest (most environmentally friendly) industry on the planet, and how it can be used to advance democracy, create true sovereignty, and progress academic research. To the latter point, the second complementing intention is for students to learn how Bitcoin assets - such as ordinals and runes - can be used to write history and literature, publish research, run a university, and more.
