Binghamton American Parliamentary Debate Society Fall 2023 GIM

Binghamton Parliamentary Debate, the only intercollegiate parliamentary debate team on campus, is hosting our General Interest Meeting. Our debate format allows debaters to bring persuasive cases about any topic from your favorite movie, to economic policy, to a social justice issue you're passionate about.

We attend tournaments at colleges around the northeast against debaters from colleges like Yale, Princeton and NYU, traveling to places like Philadelphia and New York City, at no cost to our members.

Our team varies in levels of competitiveness and you're allowed to be as competitive as you would like. We focus on supporting our members in developing their public speaking and critical thinking skills. No debate experience is necessary, but we also have members who have debated in high school and can help with transitions from different formats.
