The meaning of love is different for everyone. Many think being in a relationship is the only way to find happy love, but that mindset tends to evoke loneliness in those who are single. We forget love does not have to just be for relationships. It can be for anyone in our lives, but most importantly, ourselves. Join us (B-Healthy, Q-Center and the MRC) for Be Your Own Lover! We will have all the supplies needed to educate yourself in fun way about self-affirmations and self-love. Food and refreshments will also be available to enjoy with other attendees. The purpose of the space is to allow people to reflect on self-love while enjoying ourselves or hanging out with friends instead of focusing on the negative social-norm feelings towards love.
