Casual Racism within the Asian Community

Hi ASU! In this discussion event, we will talk about casual racism and microaggressions in the Asian community, as well as how it impacts us and other POC. Some of the topics that we go over include the normalization of fetishization of Asians, stereotypes and how we can address these issues. In addition to the discussion section, there will be bracelet-making which will be a fun arts and crafts activity where people can express themselves through colorful beads. We strongly suggest making it the flag of the colors of the cultures you identify with. Snacks and drinks will be provided as well.
