* Join Asian Student, Philippine American League, and Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers for an epic Earth Day collaboration! Sustainability is often viewed as a Eurocentric dominated topic, yet minority communities are the most likely to get hit hardest with the effects of environmental damage; additionally many cultures have been practicing sustainable habits for generations. Sustainability is more than a trend, it's the future of our livelihood. We will be focusing sustainability in regards to Asian and Asian American culture and traditions! Expect to discuss topics such as: - Natural Disasters in Asia - Effects of Urbanization of Asian Cities and Nature - Sustainable Habits Promoted in Asian Culture - And many more! There will also be numerous giveaways of small sustainable items (reusable straws, tote bags, etc!) so there are many chances to win and make an impact! This event is part of BingSASE's Earth Week! Developed by the Binghamton University Chapter of SASE, Earth Week seeks to teach the community of the interdisciplinary and applicable nature of environmentalism. Check out SASE's social media for more information highlighting the science behind our phenomenal planet!
