Active Ally Foundations for students is a 90 minute discussion-based workshop series led by our SOGIE (Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity and Expression) Peer Educators that examines the lived experience of LGBTQ+ people and challenges participants to identify what it means to be an ally. Through deep learning about human sexual identity, examining the impacts of oppression and privilege on LGBTQIA individuals and communities, exploring intersecting minoritized identities, and engaging in experiential activities, participants will craft what allyship to LGBTQ+ communities looks like for them.

Please email Nick Martin (martinn@binghamton.edu) with any questions or accommodation needs for this workshop.
