Active Ally Level 1 is an introductory-level interactive workshop which introduces a variety of concepts relating to the LGBTQ+ community including sexual orientation, sex, and gender identity and expression. After completion, participants will be able to speak respectfully about and to the LGBTQ+ community, include LGBTQ+ people in their work and teaching as well as seek out ways to directly assist the LGBTQ+ community. Active Ally workshops are open to faculty, staff, and both graduate and undergraduate students.
Please bring a smartphone, laptop, or tablet device for interactive portions of the event.
