Workshop Pieces This Friday!

Daniel Baneni - Thursday, November 7, 2024
 Events

Hello Storytellers!

Our next workshop will be on Friday, 11/8, from 6-8PM in CW110.

Please note that content warnings are written directly above each link with the author's comments, so please take note of them and feel free to avoid any pieces necessary. Whether you are participating as a writer or a reader, your mental and emotional health comes first!

That said, here are this week's workshop pieces:

1. Scott - Project Red String Ch. 1
Prose
CW: Mild Violence and Language

2. Sydney - The Attic (Country Witch)
Prose/Poetry/etc
CW: None
Context (since Syndey put it here): still in the beginning of the story, Mariel (witch) was found by Selma (human waitress) on her day off. Selma asks Mariel for help with something in her mothers attic (her mom thinks its a ghost but she thinks its a rat). The next day they talk to Selma's mom to find out that she (the mom) saw something and felt something. Mariel is puzzled what it could be as they head towards Selma's moms house to find out what's in her attic.

4. Daniel H. - One for the Ages
Prose
CW: There is some brief description of violence but nothing beyond a pg-13 rating, it is up to you if you think that the piece warrants a content warning.

Remember that this is meant to be a helpful, encouraging, and fun experience for all participants! Constructive criticism is good, but we are always aiming to help our fellow writers improve, not tear them down.

(P.S - This is the perfect time as writers and readers to not be thinking about reality right now y'all, I'mma be straight up. Enjoy and savor the awesome work your fellow writers have put out.)

Remember—all writing is writing! It doesn't matter if you're working on a novel, a play, poetry, a D&D campaign—if you're writing it, we want to hear about it!
